With each cut of the saw, 24-year-old Cindy Vincek's house is one step closer to becoming a reality.
Vincek was building this home with her father before he died back in 1995. Since then she wasn't able to finish it. She was too emotional to go on camera but asked her friend and lawyer, Emily Muller to speak on her behalf.
"This is her father's dream, it's her dream and it's coming true.
One step at a time. We are not going to be able to finish the project but we are putting it on a basis where she can now do it," said Muller.
As part of a national organization the Saratoga Chapter of Rebuilding Together, which is dedicated to helping the elderly, disabled and low income families, chose Vincek's house on Smith Bridge Road in Wilton as one of their projects for this year.

"We are going to be essentially enclosing this place to make it weather proof. We are going to be repairing the roof, putting in windows and doors and putting on siding," said Dan Larkin, Rebuilding Together.
Larkin and his team of volunteers used this weekend to get ready for National Rebuilding Together Day which is always held the last Saturday in April. They started construction early because there was so much work to be done. But the volunteers didn't seem to mind. |

"It feels good to help her rebuild something because she can't do it on her own. She needs help from other people," said Larryssa Watson.
Next Saturday, more than 200 volunteers will be working at 10 different sites throughout Saratoga County.

Michelle Larkin spent a lot of time on the phone Saturday making sure her team of volunteers had all the tools necessary for National Rebuilding Together Day.
Larkin said, "Part of the excitement of the whole day is the community coming together and neighbors helping neighbors. So we're thrilled that everybody has decided to come even though there has been a worry about the rain."
Larkin is the President of Rebuilding Together Saratoga Chapter, a nonprofit organization that repairs and restores the houses of low-income homeowners.
More than 250 volunteers were scattered throughout Saratoga County at 11 different sites on Saturday. One of those sites is a home in Wilton on Smith Bridge Road. We showed you Cindy Vincek's home last Saturday, and now, after 40 volunteers showed up to work on the house, most of the repair work is done.
Homeowner Cindy Vincek said, "There are really no words to describe my gratitude and how happy and excited I am by all of this."
35 volunteers worked at the Franklin Community Center in Saratoga. They helped give the inside a fresh coat of paint and also did some landscaping. Over at 61 Second Street in Saratoga, volunteers worked on cleaning up the front yard and performed other repairs to the home.

Volunteer Kathleen Stanko said, "The community support has been incredible. We're so blessed because everybody has come together to help us out. There is a number of different organizations as well as companies."
Saturday, Michelle Larkin was happy to have the phone ringing off the hook. She said you could find her here next year with the same phone to her ear.
