"The audience was a variety of traffic safety professionals including police, traffic safety boards, research folks, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and others. The subject was TraCS, New York's electronic traffic and accident report program. This program automates these processes from the front end, police issuing tickets in the patrol car using a computer, all the way through to the end user, including the courts and DMV. This is a highly touted project for which we, the State Police TraCS team, recently won the Governor's' Workforce Champions Award. I am on the TraCS team and so attended the ceremony at the Governor's Mansion to receive the award last week . It was very nice and included an elegant reception."
