Shane is Champion Powerlifter

Shane Swept the Schuylerville HS Invitational Powerlifting Championship.

"The June 9 competition was an invitational and 6 schools competed. Shane took first in his weight class (205 lb.) for all 3 events plus 1st in 'combined lift' for his class. The 3 events are 'bench,' squat.' and 'powerclean.' The 'overall' is a combination of all pounds lifted."'

"This is the second year in a row that he swept the event. He currently holds the school record for fullbacks for 'powerlifting as well."

"It makes it easy now when I change a tire. I don't need to jack the car up. Shane just lifts it for me. He strong like bull."

  • Shane Larkin won 1st place in all 3 events in his weight class, 205 lb. weight class, and overall. Bench - 275 lbs. Squat - 350 lbs. Power Clean - 245 lbs.
  • Sean Patrick won 1st place in all 3 events in his weight class, Super Heavy Weight, and overall. Bench - 305 lbs. Squat - 470 lbs. Power Clean - 240 lbs.
  • Katelyn Perkins won 1st place bench lifting 115 lbs. 
  • Ryan Score won 1st place in his weight class, 160 lbs. bench lifting 235 lbs.
  • Mr. Zielnicki's first name is David. Everyone refers to him as Mr. Z.
  • The man standing next to him in the picture with Shane Larkin is Mr. Pat Toomey.
