Hi,
Joey is doing fine. He had bought a volleyball net for the backyard
this summer and the kids had taken it down to play wiffleball. However,
the stakes that the poles slip into were still in the ground. Joey was
running in the yard barefoot and stepped on it. He got 4 stitches in the
bottom of his foot. Needless to say, both the net and the stakes are now
packed away. Joe returned to the same school he has been in for 3 years
so it was very smooth.
He likes his new 3rd grade teacher but is very frustrated with
cursive writing. In his words "it's just dumb."
Hannah
moved on to the high school. It's a big transition but she is doing very
well. She made the JV volleyball team and has now found yet another
sport she's in love with. I know next to nothing about volleyball but I
have been to 2 of the games and it's fun to watch.
I'm now back to work after a week long teacher strike in my district
so we are all getting back into the swing of things.
October 1st is opening day for deer hunting so Jim is preparing and
is taking a 3 day vacation to sit in a tree in the woods. Doesn't sound
like fun to me but he sure loves it.
Hope all is well.
