My
husband Jim and I will be married
12 years in September [1992]. We have 2 beautiful red headed children.
Hannah is 9 and Joseph 3.
Jim works 3rd shift as a machine operator at a plastics company and
also operates his own landscaping business on the side. In his free
time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. (Photo Christmas

I
am fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home Mom. I also do home day care.
Over the past 2 years I have spent my free time researching my fathers
genealogy. With my father's blessing, in July 2000 I started my search
for my grandfather Charles Joseph Larkin. In November of 2000, working
on leads that my brother Ron had uncovered, I was fortunate enough to
locate the family of my grandmother Cecelia Agnes Cafferty Larkin. (Photo

On November 1, 2001 I found an Internet posting from Uncle Brian.
After a few short messages back and forth, he forwarded an unmistakable
photo of grandfather Charles and grandmother Cecelia. I remember sitting and staring at the
computer screen and bawling as my father sat in shock. This day was
indeed overwhelming for us all. My father had no regrets or resentment
but he always wondered what had happened to his father. My father's life
reads like a great novel and I am currently working to get all of the
details on paper. He was thrilled to have found his Larkin connection
and was especially thrilled to have met his little sister. He was truly
looking forward to the Larkin Family Convocation and there is no doubt
in my mind he will be there in spirit.
Like my cousin Caitlin, I also enjoy gardening and puttering in my
yard. I get my love for gardening from my mother who had a vegetable
garden that was the envy of our entire neighborhood.
My
daughter Hannah is 9 and in September will be entering the 4th grade. She is an exceptional student
and athlete. She plays basketball and baseball and hopes to compete in
track & field. Last year she had the best time for the girls in her
school winning 1st place in the mile run. This year she took 1st place
again beating both the girls and the boys! She hopes one day to be a
long distance runner. (Photo spring 2002)
Last year, Hannah was the only student in her school (grades 1-4) to
earn the Presidential Award for Physical Fitness. She will be graduating
from 3rd grade next week and has been told by her phys-ed teacher that
she will once again receive this award. She also won her 3rd grade
Speech Meet, a competition that encourages public speaking, and
represented her school at the regional Speech Meet. She
also plays the piano and had her 1st recital this past weekend. Going
fishing with her Dad is also something Hannah enjoys. Last year they won
1st place at "The Dad and Me Fishing Derby"…this year 2nd.
She is an awesome big sister who exudes patience and kindness.
Joseph
is 3 and will be starting pre-school in September. He is an easygoing
boy who is very kind and gentle. He loves to be outside digging in the
dirt and searching for worms for his "collection". He also
loves the ocean, running in and out of the waves. He loves to swim and
if he could he would move to his TT's (Auntie Lori) house for the
summer. She has a pool. Joseph also loves to play with his sister and
cousins. (Photo spring 2002)
He is obsessed with G.I. Joe and it's not unusual to find him in the
backyard wearing shorts, snow boots and his combat helmet. Joey spends
his time outside with his dog, and fellow soldier, Fofe (Sophie).
