"James Patrick aka Seamus Larkin (3/16/1894 - 8/3/63) married Martha Magahran (pronounced Mag-arn') (18?? - 1/15/42) Martha had a premonition of her death while pregnant with 4th child and started making plans for the children in anticipation of her death. Therese had orthopedic problems requiring surgery, so she was of special concern. Martha's sister Mary and husband John (who were childless themselves) agreed to take Therese and continue medical treatment. Martha and child died during childbirth. Marie and John stayed with father. Martha's mother moved into the home and raised Marie and John. Seamus was employed as a customs and excise officer in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland and was only home episodically on weekends." -Caitlin Wright Binning and Maureen Larkin Wright

According to "Cecelia's family (the Cafferty's), Cecelia and Charles met in Belfast in 1920. Cecelia had graduated from St. Hugh's Academy and was working as a secretary. The Cafferty's said that Charles was making his living as an artist. They traveled together to Liverpool in 1921 where they departed for the US. They are both listed in the Ellis Island web site. The ship was the R.M.S. Carmainia and it arrived in NY on Feb 28, 1921. Charles lists Cecelia's brother Edward Cafferty on the Ellis manifest as the person in the US he was going to stay with." -Tracy Larkin Cole

**"Dad's birth certificate gives no middle name. Joseph must have been a baptismal or confirmation name. And to add to the excitement, his birth was registered in the district of Govan in the county of Lanark. The certificate is dated July 3, 1895." -Maureen Larkin Wright

Claire was the daughter of Dr. Daniel Fosburgh (1834-8/7/1904) and his wife Clara Fletcher. Dan Fosburgh was a surgeon with the 1st Vt. Cavalry during the Civil War and later practiced medicine in Vermont. Clara was much younger than her husband and was often taken for his daughter. Men credited to town; residents since the war or buried in cemeteries within the limits of the original town."
