A Gingerbread House for Dad

By Tracy Larkin Cole, December 20, 2007

Hi Family,

I remember when Hannah and Riley made a  gingerbread house together for Dad. I think they were about 7.

I'm not sure I have a photo but I remember it well.

Hannah, also a 1st born type A, planned her side and counted out the exact amount of candy needed. She made little piles that Riley was not to touch.

Riley thought Hannah was weird and ate most of her candy before it even had a chance to get onto the house.

The funny part was that Riley held the house on her lap on the way to my Dads and all I heard for the 10 min ride was Riley chomping away and Hannah screaming that she better just be eating from her half.

When the gingerbread house was finally delivered, it was a true masterpiece. Aligned and in proportion on one side and 3/4 gone on the other.

My Dad loved it!
